Intern Hunger Games is a unique perspective to the inner workings of a start-up nonprofit. Each intern found his/her own way to The 1:1 Movement. As a zero waste organization, there are no copies to be copied, no faxes to be faxed. There is no current incentive for a salary or job opening. There is only their dedication to expanding the work of 1:1 in raising awareness about sustainability in positive, creative ways. 1:1 jumped into the blogosphere to share their progress with the world.

The individuals featured in this blog came to 1:1 because they are dedicated to keeping San Diego America’s Finest City. The blog highlights the accomplishments of each of the interns, and the organization as a whole, through commentary on their weekly challenges. From pitching campaigns to increasing social media, the Intern Hunger Games are insight to the insides of a start-up nonprofit.

By raising awareness about their hard-work, our readers will learn more about the exciting things The 1:1 Movement is working to achieve. 1:1 leads three prominent branches- educational programs, corporate outreach, and permaculture-based workshops. 1:1 focuses on inspiring people to be part of the solution in reference to sustainability.
